Mama Andrea scored big on this vacation when she set up a half day bike ride for the whole family. The teenagers had FOMO and were not thrilled about spending the summer away from their friends, especially to go somewhere historic. Phil’s first reaction was,”what are we going to see there, churches?!”
He did see a church or two but they went completely unnoticed as he raced his sister through the vineyards and olive groves past goat farms and down cypress-clad downhills.
“The best day this summer!” were his last words as this family from Florida moved on to the next adventure in Italy.
